Mugsy's Debut

Well we made it through our first week with Mugsy, our new St. Bernard puppy. He really is a good dog so far (how much trouble can he get into in just one short week?). I believe any yard decorations and potted plants are going to be a thing of the past at least for this summer. We'll see what next year brings. He likes to be close to the house so far. Even if we walk to another area of the yard he might walk with us but always winds up right close to the house soon after. I think he and Riley will be good friends. They will just have to get used to each other. Riley is not a big fan of having his tail used as a chew toy and he lets Mugsy know it and that's okay. Mike weighed him today and he weighs 18 lbs. at 7 weeks of age.

Gabby got fairly good news of only having to have her top wisdom teeth pulled as they are the only ones thru. The oral surgeon said that if they aren't through by the time she's 22 then they're probably not going to come through. She has an appointment at the end of August to have them out so at least she will be home again! We are going to take her passport to her tomorrow. She applied for it in late June and we got it in the mail this past week. She needs it as she will be traveling to Canada with the Arabian farm that she works for. There is some show up there in August. We are also going to see if her employers are interested in out truck as they are looking to purchase a used one.

Don't have much going on this week, at least that I know of. Hopefully it will warm up here and we can enjoy what few lazy days of summer we have left.
