Sunday -- Last Day of R & R

We are going to try to put an early end to our day today as the news was broken to us of the time of our wake up call tomorrow morning -- 3:00 a.m. It's difficult to decide whether to get a few hours of sleep or none at all!

We departed the hotel this morning and went to the North American College which is where both our priests studied. After a brief tour, we attended mass at the chapel there with the seminarians and priests. Yes -- my prayers were answered and we did have padded kneelers! I also know now why Father Huber likes incense so much! Actually it was kind of a good thing as my sinuses were starting to bother me before mass but I feel much better now!

The priests then escorted us to St. Peter's square and we got a few last minute religous articles before the Pope came appeared and we received his blessing. After the blessing, we went off and had a nice little lunch and headed back for the hotel where Mike is now sawing a log and soon we will start to think about packing (maybe after we head out for a gelato or perhaps a crepe). This will be the last of the blogs as my internet time runs out in a few hours and the most exciting (if you can call it that) happening to come is the trip home.

The pictures that are included are mainly of the courtyard at the North American College, the altar in the chapel and of course, another organ. (Brenda -- our little choir loft looks pretty humble doesn't it!?!) Also there is a shot of what we could see when the Pope made his appearance today.

Please continue to pray for us as we end our journey and return home to all of our friends and family.
