The weather forecast was right and this is what we woke up to. So instead of the beach, we hit the road and headed to some shops around Coral Bay and then braved it and went to the big city of Cruz Bay. When we stand on our deck, it seems like we literally have our heads in the clouds. They need rain desparately here. Depending on sobriety, the people told us it hasn't rained anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months. Either way it was a welcome rain.

After browsing thru the shops in Cruz Bay, we worked up an appetite so thought we'd stop in and eat at Jake's. We all had chicken/bacon/ranch wraps and iced tea (can you tell we are a little related?). It was delicious. We got to watch the namesake of the restaurant play while we ate. He was the cutest little boy all of about 3 and was quite the social butterfly.
We decided that we are glad we didn't stay in Cruz Bay and prefer the quieter side of the island any day. The crazy street set up and the way people drove just was too much.

After doing a little packing at the villa, we decided to head down to -- you guessed it -- Skinny's and have a little supper. This time we were all hungry for a hot dog with sauerkraut and some Painkillers. We once again closed the place down (keep in mind it closes officially at 8:00 but they let you stay until 9:30). We had a great time requesting music the band of course does not know. (These island bands don't know the Chicken Dance or the Beer Barrel Polka.) We had a good time while it poured outside.

On our way home we came across this donkey apparently waiting for a bus. Of course it was still raining at the time and I guess they use whatever they can to keep dry.
We are now going through the villa and making sure we have everything packed and making sure our suitcases will survive the 50 lb. weight limit. Looks like we are going to get a workout dragging our carryout bags around today. (There is a good use for a man on vacation! LOL, sorry Mike!)
Better get busy finalizing the packing for departure. See you all soon!
