Snorkle Day

Well, here we are. Thursday suit time. We went to Cinnamon Bay this a.m.(9 o'clock, which is early for islanders). We had to make sure we got a good space on the beach and a good parking spot (we forgot Grandma's handicap parking sticker!).








Here's the three of us on day 4 at the beach. We were caught by surprise by the wave...the water's a little chilly in the a.m.! I couldn't have picked two people who love to sun worship as much as I do. Jamie is also very good about telling us when it is "snack time". We all seem to get our fix for chocolate and corn nuts for the day at about 10 a.m. (Something salty and something sweet!) Bobby is quite the driver and we are finally figuring out this island a little more. We all got even more color today (Jamie is radiating heat as I type this). We went out for supper tonight (yes, Bobby even drove in the dark!) and are now lounging around the villa applying aloe (which grows abundantly here) that the waiter gave us at Skinny Legs on Tuesday night and told us to use some when we got home and then put it in the fridge for later because he thought we looked like we were going to need it. I wonder what gave him that impression?!?



We rented snorkel gear today and tried out snorkeling. It took a little getting used to (actually, just getting the fins on was quite a feat for me!) When you're swimming along and breathing thru the apparatus, it sounds like you are Darth Vader. Then when you get out far enough and start to see all the fishies the song, "Under the Sea" from the Little Mermaid pops into my head, (oh, how many times did I have to endure that one?). Jamie and I swam and swam and finally when we looked to see where we were headed in the wrong direction! It is very easy to get disoriented out there! Doesn't seem like a long ways to get out to see everything but it sure does seem like a long swim to get back to shore! It was fun though and we are probably going to do it again tomorrow on a different beach where the waitress at Skinny's told us she had seen some turtles a couple of days ago. We are going to try and make some of this rum disappear since we only have a few more nights left so I'd better go get to work on that! Till tomorrow...
